Knud Erik JORGENSEN

Knud Erik Jørgensen is Professor in International Relations at the Department of Political Science, Aarhus University. His research focuses on European foreign policy and international relations theory. Some of his recent research is on the European External Action Service and EU diplomacy facing new realities. In addition to these themes, his research interests include the theoretical traditions within the discipline of International Relations and, not least, the relationship between policy paradigms and the making of foreign policy. He is one of the co-editors of the journal Global Affairs. His work is published in journals such as the European Journal of International Relations, Cooperation & Conflict, Journal of European Public Policy, International Relations and Journal of European Integration.

Knud Erik Jørgensen has a PhD in International Relations from Aarhus University. He has been a Jean Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute and has held visiting fellowship at Toronto University, the Free University Brussels (VUB), Sussex University and Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI). He was professor for two years (2015-2017) at Yasar University in Izmir (Turkey).
