Szymon Polak is an Economic and Policy Analyst in the European Commission, dealing with financial instruments in energy sector.  Having worked on the EU internal energy market and security of gas supply regulations and policy making for 10 years, he joined the European Commission in October 2017.  In the economic analysis and financial instruments unit he provides expertise i.a. on energy efficiency financing schemes to attract investments in energy sector. He holds a master's degree of political science and international relation and is graduated from the National School of Public Administration in Warsaw. He has previously worked for Polish Civil Service.
