Mrs Majlinda BREGU, Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), will give a guest lecture to discuss "Regional Cooperation in the Western Balkans: Between Political Reality and Economic Necessity".
Professor David PHINNEMORE will welcome Mrs Bregu and will moderate the discussion following her talk.
This event is open to all students.
About the speaker
Majlinda Bregu took office as the Secretary General of Regional Cooperation Council on 1 January 2019.
She graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Tirana and obtained a Master’s degree in Social and Political Science from the same university. In 2005 she was awarded a PhD in Sociology from University of Urbino, Italy.
In 1996, Mrs Bregu started her academic career as lecturer, while collaborating as anchor in News Department at Albanian Public Television. She was Member of Parliament of Albania (2005-2017), Minister of European Integration, National IPA Coordinator and Government Spokesperson (2007-2013).
