Online edition of the Competition Summer School within the framework of the EU-ASIA Competition Cooperation project

Since 2013, the College of Europe has welcomed officials from Asia to participate in a two-week Competition Summer School. This immersion into the complex subject of EU Competition Law has been carried out within the framework of various EU-funded projects.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s Competition Summer School will take place online from 28 June to 9 July 2021, where competition officials from ASEAN Member States, China, India, Japan, and Korea will be able to gather virtually.

Each training module is designed to meet the training needs of participants, with workshops, analysis of case studies, group exercises and e-meetings with officials from the European Commission’s DG Competition. This highly interactive online programme offers participants the chance to:

  • enhance their understanding of EU competition law and procedures, across the three instruments of anti-trust, merger review and State aid;
  • deepen their knowledge of EU competition law, thus facilitating future initiatives that enhance convergence and enforcement in competition policy between the EU and the jurisdictions of the participants;
  • encourage interaction on competition law matters among the participants and EU representatives.

This activity is funded by the European Union and is part of the EU-Asia Competition Cooperation project. For more information about the project, please visit the website:
