The College of Europe welcomes Professor Hua XIN as a Visiting Scholar for the Academic Year 2013-2014

Professor Hua XIN is a Visiting Scholar at the College of Europe, Department of EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies, for the academic year 2013-2014. He carries out a research project on the role of European think tanks in European pressure group politics and in the EU’s economic policy towards China.

 

Professor XIN is Senior Research Fellow and Associate Professor at the Centre for EU Studies at Shanghai International Studies University (SISU). He is also affiliated with a number of other think tanks and university research institutions in China. He holds a Ph.D. in Law from Fudan University as well as a Master of Law in International Relations Major and a Bachelor in Economics from SISU. He has supervised a number of research programmes at SISU and has taught courses on “Comparative Studies on EU and East Asian Regional Integration”, “Contemporary Chinese Economy”, “Comparative Political Economy in the EU and the US” and “International Political Economy related to the triangular relations between the EU, China and the US”. In addition, he was a visiting scholar at Aichi University, Japan, and at George Washington University in Washington, DC, United States.
