Wioletta GURDAK

Wioletta GURDAK graduated from the Polish Studies Department (University of Warsaw) with a Master of Arts in Philology. She also completed post-graduate studies: Polish Glottodidactics – Teaching Polish as a Foreign Language (University of Warsaw). Wioletta is a Polish language teacher with more than 20 years of professional experience in a multilingual and multicultural environment, a methodologist, an educator and an examiner for the State Certificate Examinations in Polish as a Foreign Language.

She has authored curricula and materials for teaching Polish at all levels (pre-A1 to C2) and co-authored with Dr Wojciech SOSNOWSKI two course books of the Polskie czytanki series.

In the course of her career she had the privilege of working with representatives of many international institutions (OSCE, Frontex, European Commission, EU Justice Tribunal), embassies and private sector companies. Her students hail in from the financial sector, legal firms, hotel chains, consultancy firms and land development companies. During Poland’s accession to the EU she taught Polish translators and interpreters working within the EU administration.

Wioletta GURDAK joined the Languages and Intercultural Dialogue team at the College of Europe in Natolin in January 2007 where she runs Polish language courses and workshops for students and staff at all levels, both for speakers of Slavonic and non-Slavonic languages.
