Domenico VALENZA

Domenico Valenza is Senior Academic Assistant at the College of Europe (European general studies programme) and Visiting Researcher at the United Nations University Institute on Comparative Regional Integration Studies (UNU-CRIS) in Bruges.

He holds an MA in European Studies from Université Paris 8 Saint Denis and Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), and an MSc in “Russia in Global Systems” from King’s College London (KCL).

Prior to joining the College, Domenico worked at No Peace Without Justice (NPWJ) as Gender and Human Rights Program Assistant in Brussels and Dakar, Senegal. His previous work experience also includes project management at the youth association Nike, an internship in project design at the Latvia University of Agrticulture as well as a traineeship at the Committee of the Regions (CoR). His mother tongue is Italian, and he speaks English, French, and Russian.

His main research interests include EU-Russia relations, Russia's Foreign Policy, Cultural Diplomacy and Cultural Relations, and the EU neighbourhood policy.
