  • Dedicated workshops focussing on skills;
  • A study visit to the EU Institutions in Brussels;

What topics will the Summer School cover? Why a focus on Euro-Arab Future: anticipating challenges and resilience building?

Humanitarian crises, climate change effects and societal resilience are challenges that affect both the European and Arab region and their transnational impact requires shared and coordinated solutions. Having the capacity to jointly anticipate future scenarios will strenghten Euro-Arab relations and have a stronger impact on the most vulnerable populations.

Therefore, the Summer School will focus on:

  • Euro-Arab relations and prospects;
  • Climate change and the path to COP28;
  • Humantiarian crises: responding to emergencies and protecting refugees and children;
  • Anticipating crisis and preventing conflict;
  • Building societal resilience;
  • Skills-oriented modules: drafting policy briefs and papers, bringing knowledge to policy and advocay.

Why should I participate?

Learn, connect, network, and make your voice heard by contributing to the discussion on Euro-Arab relations!

Also, because one of the objectives of the Summer School is to explore concrete actions that could strengthen Euro-Arab relations, participants will be required to draft a short brief or project proposal. Even if the Summer School does not foresee the provision of funding for such proposals, it will provide hands-on training on skills that enhance the capacities of participants. Furthermore, a selection of briefs will be considered to be edited, published and disseminated online after the Summer School. Take a look at last editions' briefs here!
