Job Vacancy – Academic Assistants in the Department of European Interdisciplinary Studies

The College of Europe - Natolin Campus with its European Interdisciplinary Studies programme is seeking applications for the positions of Academic Assistants with a starting date of Tuesday, 16 August 2016 at the latest.

We are looking for graduates, holding a degree in political science, international relations or history, preferably with an interest in the EU’s neighbourhoods and a College of Europe experience, with:

  • a mention "very good" at Master’s level,
  • a very good command of English and French,
  • the ability to work as part of a team,
  • an interest in teaching and research,
  • good organisational skills and
  • a high measure of flexibility (working hours can include evenings or weekends).

Tasks include

  • teaching (e.g. giving tutorials, assisting the supervision of Master's theses, providing academic advice to students),
  • acting as the link between professors and students,
  • assisting professors (e.g. organisational back-up, research, compiling reading lists),
  • organisation (e.g. administration, study trips, guest lectures, conferences),
  • own research and academic writing.
