Andrea Bonzanni is an energy policy and regulation professional focusing on electricity, gas and emissions markets. He is currently an International Policy Director at the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) and a Visiting Professor at Sciences Po in Paris and the College of Europe in Natolin.
Between 2013 and 2021, he has been employed by EDF Trading in London, where he held roles in the transmission, regulation, origination and compliance departments. Prior to joining EDF, he worked at Statoil (now Equinor) in Brussels and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) in Geneva.
Andrea is a certified Energy Risk Professional (ERP) by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) and a member of the experts’ community of the World Energy Council (WEC). He is also a member of the Energy Institute and the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE).
He holds degrees from the University of Pavia (Italy) and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (Switzerland). In 2016, he was included in the 30 Under 30 Europe list by Forbes.
