Commander Andrea H. Cameron, U.S. Navy, teaches the Transatlantic Climate Security course (30h).  

Andrea Cameron is a Permanent Military Professor at the U.S. Naval War College and the founding Director of the Climate and Human Security Group. She teaches a variety of courses on policy analysis, climate change, and national security.  Her academic interests explore non-traditional and transnational security threats and their impact on U.S. strategic, national security and economic interests.

Research: As a 2022-2023 a Fulbright Scholar in NATO Security Studies, she is researching climate security policy development in NATO and NATO member states.  Andrea Cameron also has a project on incorporating climate and environmental considerations into humanitarian response through a Brown University research grant.

Education: Andrea Cameron holds an Ed.D. in Educational Technology from Pepperdine University and a Ph.D. in Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School
