Other professional activities: Björn Juretzki is currently Assistant to the Director-General in DG CONNECT in the European Commission. In this position, he contributes to the smooth running of the Directorate-General and is in particular working on artificial intelligence, connected and automated driving, cybersecurity, 5G and the digital transformation of industry.

Previous professional affiliation: Previously, he worked as a policy officer in artificial intelligence and robotics, dealing with issues such as liability of autonomous systems and the socio-economic impact of AI. He was also involved in establishing the Public-Private Partnership in Robotics.

Before joining the Commission, he worked for a couple of years as a statistical analyst in a market research company in London.

Education: Björn Juretzki holds degrees in international relations and media and communication studies from the University of Erfurt and the London School of Economics.
