Maxim Vandekerckhove studied Economics & Law at Ghent University in Belgium. He graduated Cum Laude in Public Economics and Management after receiving a Bachelor of Law at the same University.
He wrote his Master’s thesis on the impact of Transnational Municipal Networks on Smart City Developments and EU decision making in a multilevel governance structure.
During and after his studies Maxim gained some experience at the European Parliament, various NGOs and he did an internship at the African Union where he was the co-author of the AU-EU Youth Agenda, which was incorporated in the 2017 EU-Africa Summit Declaration.
Maxim joined the College of Europe in Natolin as a Professional Development Officer in July 2021.
