Richard has been working at Natolin College of Europe since 2011. He was Director of Communications and Recruitment from 2015 – 2018, and prior to that, from June 2013, Head of Communications. In the years 2011 - 2013 he was Research Assistant in the European Civilisation Chair.

He is a graduate in History and Social Sciences of the Universities of Oxford and London as well as Natolin College of Europe (Einstein Promotion). He holds a diploma in acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (1997) and enjoyed a nine year long career as a professional actor, taking part in numerous theatrical tours both in the UK and continental Europe. After leaving professional theatre in 2006, he developed a career in charity fundraising and major donor development. Between 1998 and 2002 he was an elected member of the London Borough of Islington Council and has many years of political campaigning experience in the UK. Though a British citizen, he was born in Rotterdam in the Netherlands to a British father and a Dutch mother from the Caribbean island of Curacao.
