Ward DEN DOOVEN
Ward Den Dooven (BE) is Project Assistant at the College of Europe in Bruges for the Pilot Programme for the European Diplomatic Academy since August 2022.
He obtained an MA in European Political and Governance Studies from the College of Europe (2020-2021, Mario Soares promotion), as well as an MA in Economics, Law and Business Studies from KU Leuven.
Since September 2021, Ward is also associated to the Egmont Institute – Royal Institute for International Relations, currently as an Associate Fellow in its European Affairs Programme. Other work experiences include a stay at Democratic Society, a Brussels-based pan-European NGO working on democratic challenges at various levels of government, with a specific focus on networked democracy and the Conference on the Future of Europe.
Fields of interest: democracy and democratization, EU foreign policy and diplomacy, participatory democracy and citizen engagement.
