Training for Diplomats and Officials from Central Asian countries on EU Foreign Policy

The European Union is organising a 10-day Training for Diplomats and Officials from Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan) on EU Foreign Policy taking place at the College of Europe in Bruges from 13 to 24 May 2024.

The programme aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of EU foreign and security policy, along with insights into EU-Central Asia relations. Sessions include an exploration of key players in EU policies, an overview of EU institutions and decision-making processes, and strategies for negotiating with the EU. Role-playing exercises offer hands-on experience in bilateral negotiations, while a fireside chat with former senior EU diplomat provides valuable reflections on EU diplomatic practices.

The programme also includes a study visit to Brussels, social and cultural activities to enrich the participants' experience.
