Le Département d’études politiques et administratives européennes du Collège d'Europe a accueilli un atelier pour académiques dont les études portent sur le Parlement européen dans le cadre du ERASMUS Academic Network on Parliamentary Democracy in Europe (PADEMIA) sur le campus de Vervesdijk le mercredi 8 avril 2015.
PADEMIA est un réseau pan-européen de 56 instituts académiques établis dans 31 pays visant à promouvoir la recherche et l’enseignement face à la demande croissante d’études sur la démocratie parlementaire en Europe.
Cet atelier, « Les développements récents dans l’étude du Parlement européen: Nouveaux sujets, approches et résultats », a rassemblé des académiques d’universités européennes qui ont présenté leurs contributions au débat et ont discuté leurs résultats en trois sessions distinctes. L'atelier se déroulait en anglais.
La participation à l’atelier était ouverte à un nombre limité d’étudiants afin de leur donner l’opportunité de suivre les derniers développements en la matière, notamment depuis le Traité de Lisbonne et au lendemain des élections européennes de 2014.
