Armenia & Georgia – two study visits for future diplomats of the Armenian Diplomatic School and for civil servants of the Georgian Diplomatic Training Centre

In the framework of the EU funded project “Support to Capacity and Institution Building of the Diplomatic Academy in Armenia”, the College of Europe Development Office organized a study tour to Brussels and Vienna for 27 students and 2 staff members of the Diplomatic School of Armenia from 13 to 18 September 2015.

 

During their study tour, the Armenian participants had the opportunity to visit major EU institutions: the European Parliament, the European Commission, the Council and the EEAS and NATO in Brussels as well as the UN, OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe) and IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) in Vienna. Furthermore, they were kindly welcomed by the Permanent Mission of Armenia to NATO, the Armenian Embassy to Belgium, and the Armenian Embassy to Austria.

 

Similarly, from 28 September to 4 October 2015, and in the framework of the EU funded project “Capacity Building in International Relations, Georgia”, a study visit organized by the College of Europe Development Office for 10 Georgian civil servants complemented training they received on Negotiations. During their study visit they followed a negotiations simulation exercise in Bruges and visited the EU institutions and relevant organizations in Brussels, such as the European Parliament, the European Commission, the Council, the EEAS, NATO and the Permanent Representations of some EU Member States.
