Do you want to expand your knowledge and skills on EU affairs in 2018? Have a look at our Executive Education courses taking place in summer and in autumn.

The first course taking place is Monitoring and Evaluation for EU-funded projects, from 4 to 6 June 2018.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Intensive Seminar on the EU will take place from 2 to 20 July 2018, offering a one-, two- or three-week programme depending on the prior knowledge of the participants.

Also for many years, the College has been contributing to a course on EU Transport and Railway Affairs (ETCR), which will run from 2 to 13 July 2018.

In order to respond to the developments at EU level, a two-week course on the Energy Union was recently developed. In partnership with InnoEnergy and EDF, it will take place from 2 to 13 July 2018.

During the same period in July, we also offer a one-week course on EU Competition Law, followed by a new three-day course on Competition Policy & High-Tech Markets.

In autumn, the College of Europe Development Office offers the following shorter courses:

  • Managing Migration in Europe: Challenge and Response. This is a three-day course, from 24 to 26 September 2018, which gives an overview of the main legal instruments for migration management at EU level, as well as its main actors.

  • EU Diplomacy & Diplomatic Skills offers, in addition to theory, also practical sessions and exercises on reporting, communications and negotiations at international level. It will take place from 8 to 10 October 2018.

  • Trade Policy. In addition to covering EU and WTO trade law and policy, the course also analyses several EU FTAs (e.g. CETA and EU-Japan) and current issues such as Brexit. It will take place from 22 to 25 October 2018.

Finally, two one-week courses will run in parallel from 12 to 16 November 2018: EU Project Management, a course on the life of EU projects, from programming to tender writing, to project implementation and evaluation; and a course on Negotiations in Practice, which includes many exercises and simulation games.
