College of Europe students in Tokyo

From December 15th to 22nd, the government of Japan has invited 150 graduate/undergraduate students from Europe, Russia, Central Asia and the Caucasus, including 10 students from College of Europe, for the MIRAI Program.

The MIRAI Program, which stands for Mutual-understanding, Intellectual Relations and Academic Exchange Initiative and means “future” in Japanese, is starting for the first time this year.

During their stay, the students will visit and meet various people working in high-tech and traditional industries, leading companies, scientific and cultural sites, and governmental institutions.

Students will also visit a prestigious University in Tokyo, receiving lectures from eminent professors on Japanese politics, economy, society, history, culture and/or diplomatic policy, and follow-on discussions with Japanese students.

The program includes homestays in regional towns and cities outside of Tokyo.
