European Health Parliament nominated for the European Association Awards

The European Health Parliament (EHP), a platform that connects students from the College with other students and young professionals working on the health sector, has been shortlisted as a finalist of the European Association Awards 2018. The EHP has been nominated in the category Best Association Networking Event.

The EHP brings together 55 young professionals/students from across Europe with diverse backgrounds (political studies, biomedical science, pharmacy, medicine, economics, international relations and others) and jobs (healthcare industry, students, European institutions, patient organization, civil society…). With the aim of shaping the future of healthcare in Europe, participants are working together over a period of 6 months and they are brainstorming as a Parliament across 5 committees to develop political solutions around specific topics ranging from digital skills for the medical profession, prevention & self-care, antimicrobial resistance and others.

The Association Excellence Awards have been developed to celebrate best practice and excellence in all aspects of trade and professional associations, and will recognise individuals, teams and initiatives and highlight excellence in how associations operate and serve their members.

The award ceremony took place on 23 February 2018 in Brussels and was dedicated to showcasing and celebrating excellence in all the categories. Twenty-five judges who are all Secretary Generals or CEO’s of leading European associations were involved in the final decisions.
