Expansion of the collaboration with the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf through the implementation of three new executive training programmes

As part of its mission to contribute to the good relations between the EU and its major international partners, the College of Europe Development Office has implemented three new courses in the framework of its collaboration with the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC).

The three courses were held at the GCC Secretariat General headquarters in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). While the first two courses provided the GCC senior officials with training on the state of EU-GCC relations, the EU legal architecture and decision-making process, and EU policies; the third one was focused on professional skills and more in particular on EU negotiation case studies such as Brexit and the EU-GCC ongoing discussion towards a Free Trade Agreement.

In the framework of the latest course, which took place this March 2019,  a delegation of the College of Europe Development Office met with the GCC Secretary General H.E. Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid AL ZAYANI to discuss the future of the partnership between the two institutions. H.E. Dr AL ZAYANI stressed his satisfaction with the tailor-made programmes designed by the College of Europe in cooperation with the GCC Delegation in Brussels on GCC specific needs.
