On 1-5 June 2015 a successful special edition of the Executive Education course "Negotiations in Practice" took place at the College of Europe, Bruges campus.
Participants were first given an introduction to the EU institutions and its decision-making process and then delved into international and bilateral negotiations, EU negotiations and the skills required to be a good negotiator, including a session on communication skills. On Friday, participants were able to put in practice all that they learnt, through an EU Council negotiations simulation game.
One of the participants, Maria SPYRAKI, Member of the European Parliament, commented that "the most interesting experience was the team negotiations on real cases. I had the opportunity to learn a lot from the other participants as well as from the lectures. Very good job indeed!". Another edition took place on 16 – 20 November 2015.
