From 4 to 5 December 2018, Professor Jean-Pierre CASSARINO, Senior Research Fellow of the European Neighbourhood Policy Chair and Director of the Natolin Academy of Migration (NAM) of the College of Europe in Natolin, was invited to Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) to speak at a high-level forum on migrants’ patterns of reintegration in Ethiopia. The event was co-organized by the International Labour Organisation, ITC-ILO, and the Ethiopian Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.

Debates focused on how to address the social and economic reintegration of Ethiopian labour migrants especially when it comes to decent work, migrants’ access to the national health care system, labour market policies, the portability of social rights and, last but not least, migrants’ psychosocial well-being. The discussion among the panelists was moderated by Mr Aeneas Chapinga CHUMA (UN Resident Coordinator and UN Humanitarian Coordinator for Africa).
