Professor Richard BUTTERWICK-PAWLIKOWSKI was awarded the Bronze Medal "Gloria Artis" of outstanding Merit to Culture

On 4 October 2016, Professor Richard BUTTERWICK-PAWLIKOWSKI, Chairholder of the European Civilization Chair at the Natolin (Warsaw) campus of the College of Europe, was awarded the Bronze Medal Gloria Artis of outstanding Merit to Culture by the Vice-minister for Culture and National Heritage, Professor Magdalena GAWIN, at a ceremony held at the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Professor BUTTERWICK-PAWLIKOWSKI received the medal as a result of his exceptional historical work on the Polish enlightenment in the 18th Century.

The Medal Gloria Artis is awarded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland to those who have distinguished themselves through their contributions to, or protection of, Polish culture. For the article covering the ceremony (in Polish) on the Ministry website click here and here.
