Professor Tobias SCHUMACHER, Chairholder of the European Neighbourhood Policy Chair at the Natolin (Warsaw) campus of the College of Europe, has just published a book chapter on the EU’s Mediterranean policy in 2014/15. Entitled "Mittelmeerpolitik", the chapter has been published in Werner WEIDENFELD and Wolfgang WESSELS (eds.), Jahrbuch der Europäischen Integration 2015, Baden-Baden, Nomos, 2015, pp. 325-329.
The chapter provides an annual overview of the EU’s policies towards its southern neighbours in the Maghreb and Mashreq and argues that the EU’s influence on conflict resolution and the process of democratization in the region has been rather limited throughout the period under study.
