Recent publication by Dr Zachary MAZUR: "Global Depression, Local Tragedies: Rural Life in 1930s Poland"

Dr Zachary MAZUR, Research Fellow in the European Civilization Chair at the College of Europe in Natolin, recently published the article "Global Depression, Local Tragedies: Rural Life in 1930s Poland".

The article was published on the Adam Mickiewicz Institute’s website Culture.pl, and tells the individual stories of how the Great Depression affected small farmers in Poland. Using the memoirs of contemporaries, the piece adds some colour to this otherwise bleak period in history.
