On 28 May 2019, Mr Nicolas NIZOWICZ gave a special seminar at the University of Technology in Gdańsk on the invitation of Professor Luciano SEGRETO. The seminar entitled "Piracy nowadays, as a phenomenon which proposes some ancient practices of original accumulation" was organized in the framework of the 'Guest Seminars' series for the students of the Master’s Degree in Economic Analytics, specialization Global Studies, at the Faculty of Management and Economics.
In his seminar, Mr NIZOWICZ argued that piracy constitutes a serious threat to maritime trade. The phenomenon, which disappears and reappears constantly in different parts of the world, remains, at a global level, tightly linked to the political, social and economic situation on land.
