Students visit Madrid for European Centre for Government Transformation Project

A team of four students from the Department of European Political and Administrative Studies, accompanied by Professor Michele CHANG and Academic Assistant Umur AKANSEL, visited Madrid on 26-27 October 2015 to meet public and private stakeholders working with open data in Spain. The site visit took place within the framework of the European Centre for Government Transformation (ECGT) Project. Students met officials from two Spanish ministries, public actors that deal with open data, and the infomediary sector in Madrid. Their task will be to produce a report on how the public sector in Spain can proceed with open data reform to serve the needs of citizens and businesses.

The other ECGT teams will visit Austria and the Netherlands in the coming days.
