The College of Europe in Natolin is proud to announce the publication of the first two volumes of the research of the Three Revolutions (3R) Project which summarizes the work of the past 3 years. The 3R project was brought to life in the aftermath of the mass protests in Ukraine in 2013-2014 known now as the Euromaidan or Revolution of Dignity.

The project team was set to provide a multidimensional analysis of the events in Ukraine. In order to identify the causes of the mass protest movements in Ukraine and their impact on Ukraine and the wider region of Central and Eastern Europe. The Project traced the historical sources of Ukraine’s contestation politics and dived into such issues as identity politics, nation building transition process and beyond. To that effect, the Project team concentrated its efforts on the three major protests in Ukraine’s recent history (Revolution on Granite of 1990, Orange Revolution of 2004-2005 and Revolution of Dignity of 2013-2014) and organized unprecedented international symposia, collected oral history testimonies and conducted archival research and secondary sources analysis.
