Training courses to contribute to preparing the first Croatian Presidency of the Council of the European Union

Since January 2019, the College of Europe Development Office has been implementing several training sessions for Croatian civil servants in preparation for the first Croatian presidency of the Council of the European Union, which will take place from 1 January to 30 June 2020.

The training courses have been held in Zagreb and Brussels and cover topics such as negotiation and lobbying in the EU, cooperation and networking, preparing and chairing meetings of working parties, presentation skills and communication with the media. The courses include various simulation exercises to allow the participants to practice their skills.

The College of Europe has mobilised several highly qualified trainers from its extensive network to deliver interactive and enriching training to strengthen the competencies of the Croatian civil servants in charge of the Presidency. Croatia joined the European Union in July 2013 and is the newest member of the Union.

This project is financed by the European Social Fund (ESF).
