Visiting Fellow at the EU-China Research Centre

From 5 until 19 September 2016, the EU-China Research Centre, based in the Department of EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies at the College of Europe, hosted Dr Alessandro SPANO, as a Visiting Fellow. 

Dr Alessandro SPANO is Senior Teaching Fellow at UCL. Dr SPANO holds a PhD in law (KCL),  an MA in Advanced European Studies (College of Europe, Natolin) and a degree in law (Paris X Nanterre). He first joined the Faculty of Laws in 2008 as a Teaching Fellow, then, in 2012, he was appointed as a Research Associate (Post-Doc). Dr SPANO is currently Researcher at the Centre of Commercial Law and he lectures, as a Module Convenor, a series of law subjects in the LLB and LLM Programmes. 

Dr SPANO is also Research Fellow at the Centre of European Law at King's College London and Fellow at the Asian Institute of International Financial Law at the University of Hong Kong.  

From 2009 to 2012, he was Research Fellow at the School of Law of King’s College London. In April 2009, he was awarded with the European Commission’s EU-China Science and Technology Fellowship Programme. In this respect, he did research in academic institutions in mainland China and Hong Kong in the areas of WTO Law, Competition Law and Chinese Law. From 2009 to 2011, he was Research Fellow at the School of Law of the Tsinghua University of Beijing.
