The College of Europe Development Office has been organizing half-day workshops on EU fact finding since 2005. The course gives an overview of the main EU and EU-related websites and sources, facilitating their navigation. Participants attending the course will be able to quickly and effectively find relevant information on EU legislation, policies and institutions.
We have interviewed a representative of the Swiss Mission, as the workshop regularly welcomes its staff as participants.
Which is, from your point of view, the main added value of the EU Fact Finding workshop?
"For newcomers, especially local personnel without much EU Institutions experience, the workshop gives the opportunity to have a better global overview for collecting news from the different EU sites."
In which way do you think the course was useful for the participants coming from the Swiss Mission?
"The course was useful to understand how to find the different news items per topic and per institution. Also, the PowerPoint presentation which is sent after the course is very useful and helpful, like a guide for searching correctly for the requested information."
