Job Vacancy – Administrative / Project Assistant

The College of Europe is looking for an Administrative/Project Assistant to join its Development Office in Bruges, Belgium. The Development Office is the College of Europe’s main link for developing training courses, projects and other professional services for and with individuals, universities, public bodies, companies and organisations worldwide. Description of the position:

The Administrative/Project Assistant will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Administrative and organizational support to projects; this comprises amongst others, communication in English and French with partner organizations, speakers and participants in training programmes and accompanying them during the different activities;
  • Preparation to payment of invoices, invoicing and the management of part of the administration of the project managers;
  • General administrative support of the Development Office.

Required profile:

  • a relevant graduate degree;
  • a very good knowledge of English and French. excellent Dutch writing skills and other languages are considered as an asset;
  • strong communication skills, both verbal and writing;
  • very good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access (other programmes is an asset);
  • accuracy in administering figures and payments;
  • good analytical and organisational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines;
  • able to work both autonomously and as a team player in a multicultural environment;
  • open personality with strong interpersonal and networking skills;
  • flexibility and dynamic attitude.
