During its annual forum, the Federation of Enterprises in Belgium (VBO-FEB) underlined the importance of European integration for businesses. On this occasion the VBO-FEB launched a unique initiative with which the former President of the European Council has accepted to associate his name: “The Herman Van Rompuy Scholarship”.
This scholarship awarded by the VBO-FEB with the support of the Fondation van der Rest and the Stichting Bekaert, will give the possibility to a young Belgian to follow postgraduate studies at the College of Europe in Bruges in the Department of European Economics Studies or one of its specializations. The student will also be granted the possibility to follow a training session at the VBO-FEB European and International Competence Centre.

The College of Europe is pleased to announce that Mr Herman VAN ROMPUY has agreed to teach “Leadership and decision-making in the EU” at the College of Europe, Bruges campus, as of the second term of the academic year 2014-2015.
