International Workshop on Prospects and Challenges for EU-China Relations in the 21st Century: The Partnership and Cooperation Agreement

On 3-4 April 2009, the InBev-Baillet Latour Chair of European Union-China Relations in the Department of EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies at the College of Europe in Bruges organised the international workshop “Prospects and Challenges for EU-China Relations in the 21st Century: The Partnership and Cooperation Agreement”.

The workshop brought together academics and practitioners to analyse the on-going negotiations of the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the EU and China. It was aimed to follow these negotiations and examine the prospects for cooperation and competition between the two sides, the agreement’s relevance for EU-China bilateral ties and its impact on world affairs. The audience was composed of College of Europe students, postgraduate students and policy practitioners.
