The workshop brought together academics and practitioners to analyse the on-going negotiations of the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the EU and China. It was aimed to follow these negotiations and examine the prospects for cooperation and competition between the two sides, the agreement’s relevance for EU-China bilateral ties and its impact on world affairs. The audience was composed of College of Europe students, postgraduate students and policy practitioners.

For those interested a summary of the International Workshop’s proceedings is available in the Issue 2 of the EU-China Observer. The papers presented at the workshop have been published in a book : J. Men & G. Balducci, Prospects and Challenges for EU-China Relations in the 21st Century : The partnership and Cooperation Agreement, Brussels, P.I.E. Peter Lang, 2010, 1st edn.
