From the 27th to the 31st of March 2023, the College of Europe’s Training and Projects Office implemented the sixth edition of the Diplomatic Training course for students of the Diplomatic Academy of Colombia.
Throughout the week-long programme, participants engaged in discussions covering a variety of topics related to the EU, including its functioning, foreign policy, and relations with Latin America. The course aimed as well at promoting debate among participants and exploring practical aspects of the EU's external action, such as peace-building processes, security and climate challenges, as well as gender and diversity.
At the end of the training week, participants had the opportunity to practice and improve their negotiation skills during an EU negotiation simulation exercise.
This activity took place in the framework of the EU-funded project "EU Policy and Outreach Partnership in South America - Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Uruguay, Chile". The College of Europe is a partner of the Consortium implementing the project under the coordination of the Organisation of Ibero-American States (OEI).
