Great performance of College students at the Amsterdam University College Model United Nations

On 8-10 April 2022, a multinational group of 12 students from the Department of EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies successfully represented the College of Europe at the Amsterdam University College Model United Nations (AUCMUN). The months of preparation for this activity, supported by two Academic Assistants, culminated in a great performance by the students who researched and drafted various position papers and debated and negotiated with other delegates from all over the world on the premises of University College Amsterdam.

The delegation from Bruges, comprised of Jonatan AF HÄLLSTRÖM (FI), Luc VERGEZ-PASCAL (FR), and Arthur-Edouard HESS (DE/FR), representing Australia, Canada, and Botswana respectively in the office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Maya BOU CHEBL (LB) and Kate HALL (IE), representing Egypt and Argentina in the UN Human Rights Council, Balázs Sean BRANDT (HU) and Alexandru STRELET (RO), representing Albania and Bangladesh in the Economic and Social Council, Sara FATTORI (IT) and Emilia VERBEKE (BE), representing India and Albania in the United Nations Security Council, Orlane JANVIER (FR) and Viktoriia OMELIANENKO (UA), representing Australia and Japan in UN Women, and Jara Amira VON CALL (DE), representing Peru in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, made an outstanding impression, also thanks to the great team spirit during the whole endeavour.
