Great performance of College students at the London International Model United Nations

On 24-26 February 2023, a multinational group of 12 students from the Department of EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies successfully represented the College of Europe at the London International Model United Nations conference (LIMUN). The months of preparation for this activity, supported by two Academic Assistants, culminated in a great performance by the students who researched and drafted various position papers and debated and negotiated with other delegates from all over the world on the premises of King’s College London.

The delegation from Bruges, comprised of Adriana ZGIRVACI (RO) representing Antigua and Barbuda in the Conference of the Parties, Ákos BAUMGARTNER (HU) representing Saudi Arabia at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Mariami ALADOSHVILI (GE) and Iryna DROBOT (UA) representing South Africa and Pakistan respectively at the Special Political and Decolonization Committee, Solène CAZALS (FR) and Jonas GUTZEIT (DE) representing Austria and Costa Rica respectively at the League of Nations, Shane GOODMAN (IE) representing Bangladesh at the Disarmament and International Security Committee, Stanislaw JOUHIER (FR) representing Iceland at the United Nations Children's Fund, Charlotte MONBAILLEU (BE) representing New Zealand at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, Jeeves SIDHU (UK) representing Denmark at the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space, and Magdalena STERINGER (AT) and Jake VAN GRIEKEN (NL) representing Portugal and Poland respectively at the United Nations General Assembly Legal Committee, made an outstanding impression, also thanks to the great team spirit during the whole endeavour.
