In recognition of International Women's Day, the SAGE Group (Student Association for Gender Equality) organised a panel discussion on issues related to gender equality in the workplace, with three female leaders from a network of leading international law firms.
Kerry O’CONNELL (Slaughter and May), Stephanie THE (De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek) and Raquel LAPRESTA (Uría Menéndez) began the conference by encouraging attendees to participate in an interactive survey, and then proceeded to engage in a lively discussion on topics such as mentoring, boardroom quotas and parental leave.
This event was followed by a wine reception in the foyer, which allowed attendees to mingle with the panel participants in a more informal setting.
International Women's Day celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
