On 10 March 2017, seven students of the College of Europe Italian Society had the unique opportunity to meet Mr Sergio ALIBONI, President of the Association des Mineurs des Charbonnages de Wallonie, at a meeting organised by SNT at the Biekorf Library in Bruges.
Mr ALIBONI, who has been devoting his life to keeping alive the memory of all the miners who worked and suffered in the coal mines of Marcinelle, was touched and delighted to meet our students and invited all College of Europe students for an informal visit to the headquarters of the association whenever suitable.
