Dr TYUSHKA gave a talk on ‘The EU, Ukraine and the (geo)politics of EU association’ at the Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies

On 7 May 2021, Dr Andriy TYUSHKA, Senior Research Fellow at the European Neighbourhood Policy Chair of the College of Europe in Natolin, gave a talk on ‘The EU, Ukraine and the (geo)politics of EU association’ as part of the masterclass event series virtually hosted by the Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies at the University of Tartu.

The masterclass took place in the framework of the Institute’s Jean Monnet Module ‘Neighbourhood, Enlargement & Regionalism in Europe’ (NearEU) and attracted a wide international audience. In his open lecture and the following Q&A session, Dr TYUSHKA addressed the challenging issues in designing and implementing the EU association policy towards the Eastern neighbours in general as well as the underpinning (geo)politics of EU-Ukraine association and bilateral relations in particular.
