Publication: "The Future of Environmental Citizenship in the EU" — Input paper to tellUs: the EU Environmental Policy Lab

This week, the students participating in the tellUs: the EU Environmental Policy Lab have presented their final policy paper "The Future of Environmental Citizenship in the EU" to the Directorate-General Environment of the European Commission. 

Students participating in this activity have drafted this report after several meetings with relevant officials from the European Commission, the European Environment Agency and the Institute for European Environmental Policy.  These meetings have allowed them to gather inputs as regards the concept of Environmental Citizenship, identify the main issues at stake, and draft a relevant number of proposals systematically presented in four chapters: Chapter 1: Conceptualising Environmental Citizenship in the EU; Chapter 2: Education, Civic Engagement and Democratic Participation; Chapter 3: Encouraging Sustainable Lifestyles and Chapter 4: Embedding the Concept of Environmental Citizenship in a Just Transition.
