The College of Europe Development Office designed and delivered a tailor-made training course for the Diplomatic Academy Javier Pérez de Cuéllar. A group of 26 students of the Academy attended this online course from 10 to 14 May 2021.
This is the fifth edition of the course, which covered a range of matters and policy areas such as the EU institutional design, priorities of the European Commission, the external action of the EU and relations between the EU and Latin America. The last module focused on negotiation skills with a real-life simulation game of EU negotiations which allowed participants to experience the functioning of the EU. During the course, the participants also had the opportunity to meet staff members of the Delegation of the EU to Peru.
This activity took place in the framework of the EU-funded project "EU Policy and Outreach Partnership in South America - Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Uruguay, Chile". The College of Europe is a partner of the Consortium implementing the project under the leadership of the Organización de Estados Iberoamericanos.
