COTRA visit to Bruges campus and Conference with MATA students

On Wednesday 17 November, the members of the Council Working Party on Transatlantic Affairs (COTRA) spent their away day at the Bruges Campus of the College of Europe. The COTRA gathers officials from Member States administration and deals with issues concerning EU relations with the USA and Canada. Its work covers a broad range of issues, from cyber, energy and security policy to economics and trade.

After a welcome speech by Rector Federica Mogherini and Professor Michele Chang (MATA Director of Studies and Professor in POL department), they attended lectures by Professor Andrew T. Wolff (NATO Fulbright Scholar) and by Professor Alan Henrikson (Tufts University) on the future of EU-US relations. At the end of the day, they met the MATA students during a Q/A session.
