On International Men's Day, annually celebrated on the 19th of November, our Bruges campus Charity Association "Helpende Hand" contributed to the very successful Movember awareness campaign of the Student Association for Gender Equality (SAGE) by selling Moustache ribbons in the student restaurant.
"The Student Charity Association, Helpende Hand, would like to thank everyone that supported the #Movember campaign throughout the month of November. This is a very important annual campaign that aims to raise awareness and funds for men's health. In collaboration with the Student Association for Gender Equality (SAGE), we organised a number of successful initiatives throughout the past month. A special thank you to SAGE for all the work that they did to raise awareness and promote an open conversation on men's health, such as the #CoEMoustacheContest", explains Aoife CURTIN on behalf of the CoE Charity Club.
"We were also delighted to contribute to the fundraising efforts by selling Moustache ribbons, which raised €240. This money has now been donated to the fundraising page on the Belgian Movember website where it will be used to help "change the face of men's health".
