Moderated by Ian Lesser, Chair of Transatlantic Trade and Economy, the panel featured Antonia Ferrier, Vice President for External Affairs at the International Republican Institute; Brando Benifei, Member of the European Parliament and Chair of the Delegation for Relations with the United States; and Jacob Funk Kirkegaard, Senior Fellow at Bruegel and the Peterson Institute for International Economics. Together, the speakers explored how changing political leadership could influence transatlantic cooperation on economic policy, trade, technology, and broader strategic issues.  

The discussion highlighted the opportunities and challenges facing the transatlantic partnership as governments adapt to new domestic priorities and an increasingly complex international environment. Particular attention was given to the implications of leadership transitions for economic cooperation, regulatory approaches, and the long-term resilience of EU-US relations.
