Only one week before the start of the 2nd Africa-EU Competition Week!

The European Commission’s Directorate General for Competition (DG COMP) and the Service for Foreign Policy Instruments are organising the 2nd Africa-EU Competition Week (#AEUCW) from 13 to 16 February 2023.

The AEUCW will bring together at the College of Europe in Bruges more than 50 officials of national and regional competition authorities and related governments from Africa.

This second edition will focus on investigative procedures and analytical frameworks in competition law enforcement.

The AEUCW will provide an in-person opportunity for competition officials, academics and practitioners from across Africa and the EU to exchange technical experiences, good practices and address common challenges.

The agenda of the Competition Week is tailored to the needs and interests of African partners. Sessions combine theory with practical experience in the form of cases and examples to stimulate discussions.

After the 2nd AEUCW, the Conference “Towards fairer markets in Africa and the EU - Fostering international partnerships in competition policy” will take place on Friday 17 February 2023, always at the College of Europe in Bruges.
