The College of Europe was pleased to deliver a training together with the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority (DFSA) on the Presidency of the Council of the EU and negotiations, taking place in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 25 to 27 November.
The training explored the role and work of the Presidency of the Council of the EU and include a simulation of an EU Council negotiations. In addition, the training programme included a sharing of best practices, reflections on the trio collaboration and a teambuilding activity.
The College of Europe has extensive experience in training partners in preparing for the rotating presidency of the Council of the EU. During the presidency, EU member states chair meetings of the Council, set the agenda and work programme and drive legislative processes. The trios, consisting of three member states, work together to ensure coherency of the EU’s work in the Council. With trainers specialised in EU decision-making processes and negotiation skills, the College of Europe can tailor trainings to the specific needs of the target audience.
