Visit of Natolin Students to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum

On 26 and 27 November 2022, the Natolin students of the David Sassoli promotion will engage in a two-day visit to the Former German Nazi Concentration and Extermination Camp Auschwitz-Birkenau.

The tour will commence on Saturday 26 November with an Introduction to the History of KL Auschwitz (a guided tour of the former KL Auschwitz I), for which the students will be divided into 6 groups. Thereafter, the visit will continue with a dedicated presentation on the Function and Meaning of Art in Auschwitz – offered by Ms Agnieszka SIERADZKA from the Collections Department of the Museum. This will be followed by another tailor-made presentation on Media Policy Challenges, conducted by Mr Paweł SAWICKI, of the Museum's Press Office.

The second day of the tour will commence with a guided study visit to the former concentration and extermination camp at Auschwitz II-Birkenau. The final event of the visit will feature a presentation and discussion focusing on Collections Presentation Work a unique insight into the challenges of preserving the authentic buildings and material objects kept at the Museum, provided by Ms Margrit BORMANN from the Preservation Department of the Museum.
